MARIST SKILLS ACADEMY

Date: Wednesday 15th May to 26th June 2024

Time: 5:00pm to 6pm

COST: $70 - First 40 players registered receive a Napier Marist Club Training Top

Napier Marist Skills Academy is a 7 week program, led by Marist Prems Team Players, to really develop the players skills and technique covering all the fundamentals of football while having fun.

2024 Fees

5th & 6th Grade (born 2019 - 2018) - $45
7th to 13th Grades (born 2011-2017) - $95
Under 15's (2010- 2009 or 2011 attending highschool) - $25
If you register 3 people from the same family for the 2024 Junior/Senior season you will receive a $20 discount off the youngest playing members fees (please email juniors@maristfc.co.nz to arrange for a discount)

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS & SALES

We will provide a Marist playing shirt for your child to wear for their 2024 season

YOU will need to purchase the following:

White Shorts
White football socks
Shin Pads (these are compulsory)
Football Boots

We also recieve 2nd hand boots and clothing which is passed on to our club members at the MEET THE COACH event. If you do have boots that are now no use to you please bring them along to the clubrooms or email juniors@maristfc.co.nz

MATCH DAY

VENUES

5th to 9th Grade - All games are Saturday mornings at Park Island
10th, 11th and 12th grades play at Park Island and surrounding HB venues including Marewa, Hastings, Flaxmere, Havelock North and Central HB.
13th Grade (Open Grade) home games are played at Bledisloe Park, Taradale or surrounding HB venues as above.

STRUCTURE

5th and 6th grade play 4 aside with 3x 8min pre match skills drill and then 1 game
7th and 8th grade play 5 aside with 3x 8min pre match skills drill and then 2 games
9th and 10th grade play 7 aside with a 50-minute game
11th and 12th grade play 9 aside with a 60-minute game
13th grade (Open grade) play 11 aside with a 60-minute game

2024 Important Dates (we will be holding a junior meeting in February and confirming dates below)

6pm Thursday 29th February 2024 : Open training session U15's Bond Feild Park Island

FRIDAY 5th APRIL 5pm Registrations Close

DATE to be confirmed: Coaches meeting - coaches will be given gear including bag and balls, a run down on how the season will run.

Sunday 14th April: Junior Meet the Coach/Team Day Marist Club Rooms

10 to 11am 5th to 8th Grade;

11 to 12pm 9th to 13th (Open) Grade.

Saturday 4th May 2024: Start of Season to 8th July (included) then a break for school holidays, returned 27th July and finishing 17th August 2024.

Saturday 1st June 2024: Tournament Day (festival) for 5th to 10th Grade only. (: 11th grade and over will play normal games.)

Saturday 17th August 2024: Final Game - Tournament Day (festival) 5th to 10th Grade last game will be the junior festival (tournment) 11th to 13th grade will play normal game

TBA: Prizegiving 11am - 2pm

9th to UN15 Grade teams 12pm to 1pm

Bring a plate of Kai served from 1pm
